Swabian Wheat and Rye Bread

Swabian Wheat and Rye Bread (Schwabisches Weizenmischbrot) is probably the most popular bread in Germany.

This 80:20 wheat:rye bread is made using our own rye sour ferment which imparts great aroma and flavour whilst a wheat-flour pre-dough gives a good crust and chewy crumb.

A versatile bread which is great for sandwiches, with soups and dips, as an accompaniment for any meal, or for toast.

Ingredients: wheat flour, water, rye flour, yeast, sea salt.
