Another Easter product for 2017

Ciambella Mandorlata – a braided, ring-shaped, yeasted bread enriched with milk, eggs and butter, and flavoured with fresh lemon zest. It has a top dressing of almonds, nibbed sugar and a little cinnamon.

This traditional Festival Bread is from the Emilia Romagna region of northern Italy. It has come to represent springtime and the continuity and unity of life – the continuous ring shape symbolising continuity, and the braiding symbolising the unity and weaving together of peoples.
